NRA Instructor: Personal Protection Outside The Home
Two-part instructor certification course that prepares candidates to teach the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home course. The most advanced NRA instructor certification, covering concealed carry instruction, defensive shooting in public environments, legal use of force, scenario-based training, and advanced coaching techniques. Includes practical teaching exercises and a certification examination. Upon completion, instructors are certified to teach the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home student course.
Prerequisites
Must be both a currently certified NRA Pistol Instructor AND NRA Personal Protection In The Home Instructor. Must have completed the student course with a 90% or higher exam score.
Restrictions
Requires current NRA Certified Pistol Instructor AND Personal Protection In The Home Instructor credentials. Instructor certification courses are not open to general students.
What to Bring
Handgun, 300 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, sturdy belt and holster, extra magazines, concealment garment, cleaning kit.
